The endgame for most Married At First Sight stars is gaining hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers and turning this into a multimillion-dollar media career.
And this was certainly what Adam Seed was hoping for when he tied the knot with Janelle Han on this year's season.
Sadly, things didn't work out that way for the 35-year-old 'entrepreneur', whose online business Competitions has reportedly gone bust after generating a total of $722 in sales during its brief period of activity.
A source told  Adam had hoped his appearance would drive traffic to his competition business, but 'going on MAFS had the opposite effect of what he'd hoped for'.
Some viewers have even expressed sympathy for the unlucky groom after his wife Janelle mocked him on the show for having 'no career'.
MAFS star Adam Seed's online business Meta Competitions has reportedly gone bust after generating a total of $722 in sales during its brief period of activity
Adam was the co-founder of Meta Competitions, a 'rewards club' where members could win prizes in exchange for an entry fee.
However, the company's website now redirects to a '403 Forbidden' alert.

Its Facebook and Instagram pages are still active, however.
The rewards club's business model was for a capped number of people to buy raffle tickets for a prize, with room for profit left over.
Adam and his co-founder Kaio would go live on the company's Facebook page and announce a winner, as selected by a 'random number generator'.
A source told Woman's Day Adam had hoped his reality TV appearance would drive traffic to his competition business, but 'going on MAFS had the opposite effect of what he'd hoped for'
The website hasn't run any competitions or been active since April 2022, just two months after its launch.
It didn't appear to be very successful, as past competitions on the website included a Dyson Airwrap for £1.99 - for which only 41 out of 550 tickets were purchased - and a £200 cash win for £0.99 - of which only 47 out of 400 tickets were sold.
The only prizes that were documented to have been given away were five bottles of vodka to one winner, a De'Longhi kettle and toaster to another, and a cash prize to a third winner.
Many businesses like Meta Competitions have emerged on social media in recent years; however, these ventures can be legally shaky to navigate.
In the UK, where Adam's business is based, raffles are considered gambling and those without a license can only run a lottery or raffle to raise money for charity.

However, it appears that online competition businesses may be able to operate without a gambling license by calling it a 'crowdfunding giveaway competition'.
Adam has had many different jobs over the years, having worked in construction, modelling and TV, as well as being a Covid lab assistant, actor, real estate agent and entrepreneur.
'I've been over in the UK, living there and working in construction, I was also doing bits of modelling and also doing TV stuff,' he said earlier in the season.
'Then Covid hit and I was working in a lab over there and doing a bit of Covid testing and working on the set of Netflix.
'I also have a little start up competition business I started in the UK with a friend of mine.'
